Beautification -The district only mows and trims around our school.  This committee takes care of everything else from trimming, pulling weeds, mulching, watering, planting, building beds, etc.  This year this committee will also create an outdoor classroom and add some beautification to the inside of our school.

How can you help?  Come to our quarterly clean-up days ready to pull weeds, trim, and pick-up or help with installations.  Watch our weekly newsletter to see these dates and times.

Carnival - The Carnival is fun for the whole family.  This HUGE fun event requires a lot of volunteer hours to prepare and run.  Carnival Team members (Team of 5-10 people) organize the Spring Carnival including Games, Prizes, Publicity, Tickets, and Spirit Merchandise. EVERYBODY volunteers at the booths on Carnival Night.

Help with the Fun Run fundraiser by volunteering while the kids run marking T-shirts and handing out water.  Ask companies for sponsorships, write grants, come to the Spirit Nights, Carnival and Silent Auction.

Homeroom Rep Coordinator

The Homeroom Reps plan class parties with teachers, help put together booths for International Children’s Day, and help put together a Silent Auction Basket. Every class needs one!  It's a great way to get to know your kids' teacher and classmates.

Pet Clinic

Once quarterly, help the Vet with administrative duties. Tuesdays from 4:45 – 7pm.  This one's easy and helps the school raise money while providing a service to our community.  Can't volunteer? Bring your animals for their shots!

Staff Appreciation

This team spoils our staff with lunches, snacks, and treats.  You can sign up for items to bring for the Staff Lunches every month or two.  And spoil your teachers during Staff Appreciation week!

Teacher Workroom

Help teachers complete their work. Often includes cutting, stapling, and organizing projects.  Often includes take home projects you can complete when convenient for you.  This group also helps keep the Literacy Library in good shape.

Family Nights/ Spirit Nights

This team puts on our Blue Jay Bash and other whole school evening events.  These are free to all and so much fun!  This crew need help with Set up, clean up, food and drink service, and other entertainment for the events.   Imagine throwing a party for 800 people!

International Children’s Day

This Festival is a great way for kids to learn about different countries and their culture and Brushy Creek does a great job of making it fun and interesting.  Help us by working in your child’s classroom booth during the Festival. Volunteers also help with set-up, tear-down, cooking or preparing craft projects.  Are you from another country?  Contact our chair to help share your knowledge.

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction happens during our Carnival and is a fun way to earn money for the school while scoring some great deals on items and services.  Help us collect donations for the Silent Auction. We can provide letters and contacts if needed.  Another great way to contribute to our school if you need something with flexible hours.  Talk to the businesses you visit anyway.

WatchDOGs perform a variety of tasks in the class and throughout the school. The goal is to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.  Click on the W.A.T.C.H. Dogs tab above to find out more.
